A Lens of Love: Reading the Bible in Its World for Our World

Leading a life that radiates God’s love and promise of peace in a world as divided as ours can be tricky business. Can changing up how we read and utilize scripture make our efforts a little smoother? During Lent, join parishioner Kevin Booker for Reading Glasses, six weeks of reading, reflection, and contemplative prayer designed to creatively equip pilgrims with techniques that can result in a more compassionate and richer relationship with the Bible. The group will focus on Jonathan L. Walton’s A Lens of Love: Reading the Bible in Its World for Our World.

If you are in the discussion group, it meets on six consecutive Sundays beginning March 6 from 4:15-5:30 p.m. in Sunderland Hall. This discussion group is full – but please consider reading it on your own!

The Monastic Heart

Join us in reading The Monastic Heart by Joan Chittister, a new book that talks about spiritual lessons we can get for our own lives by reflecting on the monastic life set forth by St. Benedict.
