The Parish Life Committee works to create fellowship opportunities across all ages and to connect parishioners who may attend different Sunday services. To do this, the Committee plans several parish-wide events and activities throughout the year. None of these special occasions would happen without a wonderful group of volunteers! If you can hang a banner, glue glitter, pour a drink, meet and greet, stuff envelopes, light candles, arrange flowers, write a name tag, clean out a closet, sell tickets, hang up clothing for our thrift sales, or use a computer, then we have just the job for you! Volunteering at St. James’ is a great way to meet people, make new friends, and to become involved. Newcomers are particularly encouraged to join in.
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
– Psalm 133:1
The Second Time Around Thrift Sale
It only happens once a year — but it helps to raise tens of thousands of dollars for those in need in NYC! Shop gently-used and designer clothing, shoes, and accessories for children, women, and men. Plus, find great jewelry, housewares, linens, furniture, lamps, collectibles, and more!
Our Spring Sales help us raise money for the church while also providing antiques & treasures for those looking for them. All reasonably priced, these sales help us provide gently used goods to our brothers & sisters while additionally helping to fund the church.
