There are many ways we stay connected as a community. While worship is at the center of our life together, we have a very dynamic Parish Life where there is something for everyone.
Building Community
In baptism, Christ calls each of us—with all our particularity, and individuality, and different gifts—into community, into the Church, into the Body of Christ. Young and old, rich and poor, from near or far, gay or straight, raised in the church and new to the church, firm in faith and just asking questions about faith, God declares that we are all connected to one another. That we are meant to take care of one another. That we need one another’s gifts and insights to know God truly, and to love and serve Christ’s world faithfully.
Building Bonds
Although we do have an exceptional Church School, St. James’ family programming is much more. We offer an experience of the love of God to the whole family in a variety of contexts: a vibrant 9:10 a.m. Family Eucharist on Sundays, through worship and education at Thursdays for Families @ St. James’, children’s and youth choirs for all ages, age-appropriate play groups, and family and inter-generational fellowship occasions.
