The First Sunday of Advent

Services of Holy Eucharist at 8:00, 9:10, 11:15 a.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Advent Wreath-Making Workshop from 3:30-6:30 p.m.

In Coburn Hall: Fresh greens, straw frame, red berries, and candles are supplied ($25). Seasonal music sets the mood and supper is also available ($5). Contact Grace Beacham with questions.

Stillman Lecture with Sister Joan Chittister at 7:00 p.m.

In the Church: The author of our summer reading book, The Monastic Heart, Sister Joan will give a talk entitled The Time is Now as a part of the Stillman Lecture Series at St. James’, followed by a book signing.

The Third Sunday of Advent

Children’s Christmas Pageant at 4:00 p.m.

This year’s Christmas Pageant, under the direction of Calvin Bushman, will be an “en promenade”–style production where the audience will experience the journey of Joseph and Mary and the birth of the baby Jesus in new and surprising ways. You will not want to miss this!

Caroling on the Church Steps at 5:30 p.m.

Parishioners and friends young and old are invited to join our Director of Music, Davis Wortman, for some old-fashioned caroling. A festive reception will follow from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
