Despite three separate airlines and one delayed flight, all we began our pilgrimage together on arrival at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. We went up to Jerusalem and arrived at our home away from home, St. George’s Guest House. Welcomed by lights atop the Cathedral spire and in the courtyard (it’s Armenian Orthodox Christmas today), we checked into our rooms and then gathered for a delicious Middle Eastern dinner. Now to bed so we’re ready for Morning Prayer with the Archbishop Naoam at 7 am and a full day of discovery in this remarkable land. Feeling blessed and grateful to be here. We carry St. James’ with us in our prayers and pilgrimage.
