Ways We Serve

At St. James’, our call to serve stems from the heart of the Gospel. Through our long-standing Meal Programs, parishioners gather each week to prepare and serve hot, nourishing meals to our hungry neighbors in a warm, welcoming setting—a powerful way to share Christ’s love with those facing food insecurity. We also operate the Samaritan’s Closet, a free clothing resource for men, women, and children in need, where volunteers sort donations, welcome visitors, and help them find the clothing and essential items they need.

Whether you’re passionate about cooking and serving food, organizing clothing and care items, or simply offering a friendly face and helping hands, there’s a place for you to serve and grow in faith as we live out our mission together. We welcome volunteers of all ages. Contact Calvin Bushman for more information, and you can sign up to serve here.
