Thursday Evenings

As followers of Jesus, we are life-long learners, always seeking to grow and become more like our Savior.  Jesus was a man of faith, and he knew the scriptures very well.  Our prayer book reminds us that scriptures contain the word of God and help us hold fast to the hope of everlasting life.

Dinner • 5:30-6:00 p.m.

On Thursday nights, we enjoy an inter-generational shared meal at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday Night Adult Formation • 6:00-7:15 p.m.

We offer various short, topical classes to help us strengthen our faith and grow in wisdom. The goal is always the same: to become equipped for the work of ministry.

Big Questions Belong Here • September 18-October 9, 6:00-7:15 p.m.

  • The opposite of faith is not doubt; it is certainty. This four-week class invites your doubts, delves into hard teachings and passages, and provides tools to address your lingering questions that begin with “what about…”?

Christianity vs. Christian Nationalism • October 16, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

  • What’s the difference? Why it is important? Join us for a video presentation by Faith Leader James Talarico with a discussion following, with theological resources made available from Episcopal leaders, including our own Bishop Shin.

The People with the Prayer Book October 23-November 13, 6:00-7:15 p.m.

  • What exactly is the Book of Common Prayer? Why do we do what we do on Sundays? How are we different from other Christian denominations like Roman Catholics or Baptists? Join our clergy for this four-week class that explores what it means to be an Episcopalian.

The Context of Our Creeds November 20-December 18, 6:00-7:15 p.m.

  • Gain a fresh appreciation for the ancient confession called the Nicene Creed. Using Philip Cary’s book of the same name, the clergy will unpack the words of the Creed and how they carefully express what God has done in Christ and through the Spirit. This class will make your weekly worship more meaningful and joyful.
