For over 40 years, St. James’ has been serving hot meals to our neighbors. Our focus has been on cooking delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere, so both our guests and our volunteers can leave feeling nourished. Join parishioners of all ages to prepare and serve a Tuesday Lunch or a Friday Dinner. We also welcome dessert donations (both homemade and store bought). Reach out to Co’Relous Bryant for more information on how to sign up, and our volunteer orientation.
Youth in grades 7 – 12 serve on the second Friday of the month, September through May.
“I was hungry and you gave me food ; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
– Matthew 25:35
Caring For Our Wider Community
We’re grateful to be located in New York City, and all the opportunities that affords. Help us to cook a monthly dinner at the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, pass out groceries at St. James Fordham’s Food Pantry, or tend vegetables in the garden at St. Ann’s in the South Bronx. Contact Co’Relous Bryant for more information.
