Join the St. Jamesians (20s & 30s) on the Way of St. James in Spain!

Spend 7 days in beautiful Northwest Spain and join thousands of pilgrims from around the world, walking the Way of St. James—the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

The Camino has existed as a Christian pilgrimage for well over 1,000 years. We’ll meet in Sarria, Spain on the evening of Wednesday, May 27, and will spend six days hiking the final 72 miles of the iconic journey, culminating in Santiago de Compostela on June 2. We’ll conclude our trip with a tour of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela on June 3.

Led by our own Calvin Bushman, this “self-guided” pilgrimage is targeted towards the St. Jamesians, those in their 20s and 30s.  (The trip will open to others, if space allows, in November 2025.) St. James’ Church will return with a “pampered” pilgrim trip in May of 2027.

For most Christians, the Camino is a walking retreat and a chance to “unplug.” Learn to pay attention to God’s Spirit speaking through nature, fellow pilgrim stories, and by walking for several hours each day through historic villages and rural countrysides.  The pilgrimage ends at the Cathedral in Compostela, Spain, where St. James the Apostle is buried, according to tradition.
