These are tough times, and St. James' is particularly hard hit because so many in our community work directly in the finance industry. As St. Paul teaches us, when one member of the body is hurting, the whole body suffers. Every member counts. Together we can be a community of healing, and strength, and hope for one another. St. James' staff and clergy are here for you.
In addition to our regular Sunday and weekday worship and other gatherings, when we meet to celebrate and draw strength from the love of God, here are some things that we hope will be helpful to you and your family when circumstances change suddenly, or when uncertainty looms.
Clergy
All of the St. James' clergy are available for individual pastoral conversation.

A Weekly Service of Healing
Thursdays, 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel
We join with Christians throughout the ages who turn to God for healing of body, mind, and spirit in this short service with the Laying on of Hands and Annointing, drawing strength from Scripture, sacraments, and community. You may ask for prayers for yourself, or for others.
Career Assistance Ministry
The Career Assistance Ministry provides practical assistance to parishioners who want or need to change their careers. Ministers can help individuals plan and execute their job searches in a number of ways including one-on-one coaching, providing contacts to parishioners who might have useful information, and providing links to a variety of resources. The Ministry is also sponsoring a series of networking meetings so that job seekers in the parish can interact with one another. If you’re interested, either because you’re looking for a job or would like to help someone who is, read more about the Career Assistance Ministry or contact a Career Assistance Minister.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are parishioners extensively trained in confidentiality, listening, and prayer through a year-long program of study and ongoing supervision.
A Stephen Minster will meet with you weekly to
listen and support you through this time of anxiety or stress and pray with you,
and will keep total confidentiality.
