The Bicentennial Organ

 

The installation of the two manual, 18-rank gallery portion of St. James’ Bicentennial Organ, Schoenstein & Co. Organbuilders, op. 156 & 157, was completed in the fall of 2008. The Chancel Organ, consisting of four manuals and 78 ranks, was installed in June 2009. The two instruments, known collectively as the St. James’ Bicentennial Organ, can be played individually or linked as one large instrument. The organ contains a total of 5,538 pipes, with 4,407 pipes in the chancel organ and 1,131 pipes in the gallery.
