Partners in Mission - Ministry for Children
Through this ministry, St. James’ partners with the Osborne Association, an organization that provides individuals and families who have been involved in the criminal justice system opportunities to transform their lives. St. James’ members work with children who have an incarcerated parent. Volunteers join children in recreational activities, events at the church and on field trips. They may also accompany children to visit their parents in prison, or train to become mentors.

Coler Hospital on Roosevelt Island
On the second Sunday afternoon of each month, St. James’ volunteers travel to Coler Hospital, a leading comprehensive specialty care and nursing facility, where they transport patients to and from a worship service. The volunteers are given opportunities to participate in the service.

St. Ann’s Church in the South Bronx
St. James’ continues its long-standing relationship with St. Ann’s Church, situated in the poorest congressional district in the United States. Volunteers participate in individual and group activities throughout the year.

Women’s Association Stocking Stuffing
In December, this group of volunteers assembles more than 1,100 Christmas stockings for organizations caring for sick and needy children.
