A Bicentennial Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, Spain
to be led by the Rev. Craig Townsend, Vicar
This small city in the northwest corner of Spain has claimed since the Middle Ages to have the body of St. James, patron saint of St. James' Church, and it has been one of western Christianity's most important pilgrimage sites since the 11th century. It's a special year for the pilgrimage (James' day, July 25, will land on a Sunday, making it a year of celebrations along the trail), and a special year for us, so this will be a special journey. An informational meeting will be held in the fall; contact Craig Townsend for more information.
